New York native Nancy Cappola has been named Director of Economic Development for the City of Farmington Hills.
According to a press release, Cappola started work on Feb. 11. She replaces Teri Arbenowske, who resigned late last year.

She also served as a Deputy Director of Business Development for Wayne County’s Department of Economic Development, where she directed the New Markets Tax Credit Program.
Cappola has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of real estate and banking, and is a real estate broker in her home state. In 2011, she was appointed to the Urban Land Institute’s National Advisory Panel, which advises communities on redevelopment strategies.
