Farmington Hills Holiday Lights Program Moved Indoors

Due to the rainy weather, the 19th Annual Holiday Lights Ceremony has been moved indoors to Fire Station #5 at the Farmington Hills City Hall campus, located on the southwest corner of Orchard Lake and Eleven Mile Roads.

This year, the City is coordinating with Miss Farmington Elise Newcomer to provide a dropoff location for the “Blizzard Buddies” donation program. Families are asked to bring new or gently used winter coats, boots, scarves, hats or mittens to be distributed to needy veterans and local families. A van donated by Serra Toyota will be available to accept donations between 6 and 8 p.m.

Trees at City Hall will be illuminated along with a 20-foot tall candle. The festivities will include entertainment from the Farmington Hills Youth Choir under the direction of Farmington Public Schools teacher Brian Christian. After the ceremony, refreshments will be served inside Fire Station #5 and there will be a special visit from Santa. For more information, call 248-473-1800.
