Farmington Council Members Hold Early Morning Study Session

Officials will discuss appointing a successor to council member Mike Wiggins, among other items.

Farmington city council members will hold a rare morning study session at  at 8 a.m. Thursday, with an agenda that includes discussing the process for appointing a new council member.

that he would resign effective Sept. 6, to pursue teaching opportunities at Ferris State University. According to the city charter, officials have 60 days to appoint his successor.

Officials will also talk about the "dashboard" now required by the State of Michigan in order for the city to receive a portion of state shared revenues, and about the Grand River Corridor Improvement Authority, a cooperative project with the City of Farmington Hills.
