Farmington Hills Event Offers Help Navigating the Affordable Health Care Act

County Commissioner Marcia Gershenson and representatives from Enroll America will meet with residents at the Costick Center on Aug. 28.

To help Oakland County residents interested in enrolling in the new health care markets under the Affordable Health Care Act, county commissioner Marcia Gershenson is hosting informational meetings Aug. 28 in Farmington Hills and Sept. 18 in West Bloomfield.

“As we approach the enrollment season, which begins October 1, 2013, it is important that everyone understands how they could be affected as we begin the educational process,” Gershenson said.

The informational meetings, which both began at 7 p.m., will teach residents how to navigate the health care system. The Farmington Hills meeting will be held at the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd.; the West Bloomfield meeting will be held at Township offices, 4550 Walnut Lake Rd.

Information will be presented by the non-partisan organization Enroll America
