Farmington Hills Hosts Dog Park Open House

Learn more about, and comment on, a proposal for the former William Grace Elementary property during the Saturday event.

Do you have a comment or a question about the dog park proposed at the former William Grace Elementary School property in Farmington Hills? 

The city will host a public meeting Saturday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at the , 29260 Grand River. City staff will be available to answer questions in an "open house" format.

According to a city-issued press release, the school property, located at 29040 Shiawassee, is approximately 8 acres in size. Preliminary site plans for the dog park are being developed, but it is anticipated that the fenced area for the dogs would encompass an area of approximately 2-3 acres. The City of Farmington Hills would maintain the school property, including the playground structure, as a park for the community.

Literature, maps, and information about the proposed use will be available during the 2-hour open house.
