Farmington, Hills Parcels in County Tax Forfeit Auction Aug. 16

Four properties, two residences and two vacant parcels are available in Farmington and Farmington Hills.

Four local properties will go on sale at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Auditorium, 1200 N. Telegraph in Pontiac.

All properties are being foreclosed on in their third year of delinquent property taxes.

In order to bid, you must register with the County Treasurer's office, which can be done the day of the auction. In addition, it's the bidder's responsibility to learn from the city in which the property is located whether it is slated for demolition, has environmental damage, is obligated with special assessments or has other issues.

  • 22903 Power Rd., Farmington: minimum bid $12,484.65
  • 27671 W. Echo Valley #208, Farmington Hills: minimum bid $10,458.31
  • Two vacant parcels on Rockcastle St., Farmington Hills: minimum bids $1,851.25 and $1,811.25
