Farmington School Board Elects Frank Reid President

New officers for 2012-2013 were chosen Tuesday during the board's organizational meeting.

board members have selected veteran board member Frank Reid to serve as their 2012-2013 president.

Elected in 1997, Reid has served as board president four times and served on a range of board committees. A financial advisor, he said the district is looking at a "very challenging year on the fiscal side."

At the same time, Reid added, "I think we've got very exciting things happening in the district, and I think we're going to see great things happen, despite the fiscal challenges."

Other officers elected during the board's organizational study session Tuesday are: Howard Wallach, vice president; George Gurrola, secretary; and Priscilla Brouillette, treasurer. Sheilah Clay, Karen Bolsen and Dr. Murray Kahn also serve.
