Fun for Kids, Adults at Hills Green Expo

Visitors to the City of Farmington Hills campus enjoy displays, crafts.

Hands-on activities, crafts and displays awaited visitors at today's Green Expo, held on the City of Farmington Hills municipal campus at 11 Mile and Orchard Lake Roads.

Vendors said traffic was fairly steady during the event, held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with exhibits inside and outside of the LEED-certified city hall building. Volunteers stationed throughout the building provided information about the building's green features.

Oakland County Commissioner Jim Nash, who sits on the city's 2020 Visioning committee, manned a table where residents had the opportunity to fill out a questionnaire on transportation. He said the transportation/energy committee would make its recommendations sometime in November.
