Residents are invited to share their thoughts about the city's Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

Residents interested the future of Farmington Hills parks are invited to attend a 7 p.m. meeting on July 23 and share their thoughts about a Parks and Recreation Master Plan that will guide programs and services for the next five years.

City officials and Special Services Department staff will be available to answer questions and take comments.

“Public input is a very important part of implementing the Master Plan and creating a vision for the City’s Parks and Recreation programs,” said Director of Special Services Ellen Schnackel.

Special Services Department activities include fitness classes, art events, youth programs, camps and sports leagues, senior outreach and more. The department oversees the Costick Center, the Ice Arena, the Nature Center, and the Farmington Hills Golf Club.

Held at the Costick Center, the meeting will feature literature and information about the Master Plan implementation. For more information, contact Ellen Schnackel at 248-473-1807 or eschnackel@fhgov.com
