Three Farmington Area County Commissioners Sworn In Jan. 9

Marcia Gershenson, Bill Dwyer and Janet Jackson are part of Oakland County's new 21-member board.

The Oakland County Board of Commissioners' Inaugural Swearing-In Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 5:30 p.m., in the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Auditorium, located at 1200 N. Telegraph Rd. in Pontiac.

Farmington area representatives who will begin serving two-year terms of office are:

Marcia Gershenson (D-District 13) Farmington Hills, Bloomfield Township and West Bloomfield Township

William Dwyer (R-District 14) Farmington, Farmington Hills, Southfield Township and the villages of Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms and Franklin

Janet Jackson (D-District 21) Farmington Hills and Southfield

Participating in the ceremony will be Oakland County Chief Judge of the Circuit Court Nanci J. Grant, Oakland County Sheriff Michael J. Bouchard and the new Oakland County Clerk/Register of Deeds Lisa Brown. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Color Guard will present flags, and Oakland County resident Jonathan Givens will sing the National Anthem. The Church Street Singers will also perform.
