A former Shell gas station has been torn down, and a site plan for a gas station/convenience store is approved. But that's not the end of the story.
Over the past several weeks, a closed Shell gas station at the corner of 12 Mile and Orchard Lake Roads in Farmington Hills has been demolished. But what's happening next on that corner?
Community Development Coordinator Charmaine Schmult said a gas station/convenience store site plan has been approved for the property. She said developers have revised the plan once, and then put the project on hold.
"It's not clear what's going on with it," she said.
