Free Seminar Focuses on Home Energy Efficiency

The Home Energy Audit Seminar will be held Nov. 28 at Longacre House in Farmington Hills.

Spaces are still open for a free Home Energy Audit Seminar, held Nov. 28 from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at Longacre House, 24705 Farmington Rd. in Farmington Hills. 

A home energy audit is a great tool to assess your home’s energy efficiency and figure out which improvements will save you the most energy and money. Participants will also learn about money that is available through utility rebate programs from Consumers Energy and DTE.

  • Pinpoint where your house is losing energy
  • Determine the efficiency of your heating and cooling systems
  • Show you ways to use less energy
  • Identify which improvements will save you the most money

Tests can determine the source of drafts and leaks, check the efficiency of your heating equipment, ensure good indoor air quality levels, and detect flaws in your wall and attic insulation. The results of a home energy audit will help you save money and improve the comfort, health, and safety of your home.
