County Honors Gill Elementary Students

Students were runners-up in a National Geographic contest.

On May 4, the Oakland County Board of Commissioners honored for its national recognition as a National Geographic Find Your Footprint
Contest runner-up.

The Gill Green Team, led by fourth grade teacher Christine Wilson and parent volunteer Gina Adams-Levy, submitted a video explaining their best idea to save energy, save water or reduce waste. Students promoted "Waste-Free Fridays," encouraging everyone to reduce the amount of waste they generate by bringing their lunches in re-usable containers and avoiding use of juice boxes and single serving snacks.
