What You Don't Know Can Hurt You: An Update on Synthetic Drugs

The first of Farmington PTA Council's Parent/Student Forums scheduled for this year, this forum is co-hosted by NFHS PTSA, OED PTSA, FHS PTSA, and HHS PTSA.  Our goal is to educate parents and middle school and high school students about synthetic drugs. 

Law enforcement will speak about what they see in our community related to synthetic drugs, what is new, and what students are getting into. 

A medical expert will speak about the effects of the different types of drugs, and what they see in their ER, including poison control statistics. 

A counselor will speak about what parents should do, what signs to look for in your child, what other outlets there are for students. 

There will be a question and answer session following the speakers.  Many related organizations will also participate with display tables and handouts in the lobby.  Refreshments will be served in the cafeteria.
