Farmington Places Ninth in State Marching Band Competition

The Falcons took to Ford Field Saturday afternoon for the 2011 MCBA Flight II Championship.

The marching band took 9th place in Flight II of the 2011 Michigan Competing Band Association Championships, which brought 48 bands from across Michigan to Ford Field on Saturday.

The band's performance was titled, "Best of Beethoven".

Bands were divided into four flights, with each flight containing 12 performances. An awards ceremony was held after each flight and each band received either a plaque or a trophy, depending on their place. Trophies were also given for best music, best effect and best marching.

Thousands of family members and fans streamed into Ford Field throughout the day, to cheer on their schools and watch some of the best marching in Michigan.
