Farmington Hills Woman Crowned Miss Mid Michigan

Makayla McCoskey, a 2011 graduate of North Farmington High School, became the first holder of the title on Saturday.

Farmington Hills resident Makayla McCoskey, 19, became the first Miss Mid Michigan during a pageant held Saturday in Howell. 

The Daily Press & Argus reports that McCoskey emerged from a field of 15 young women competing in what organizers said may be the first regional affiliate of the Miss America Organization in Livingston County. She is a 2011 graduate of North Farmington High School, where she participated in theatre, choir, student government and other activities. 

Among other honors, McCoskey was named The Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD) Outstanding High School Student of the Year.
