Farmington Public Schools Closed Wednesday, Due to Wind Chill Advisory
Walled Lake school district has also cancelled classes tomorrow.
With brutal wind chills predicted through 8 a.m. tomorrow, Farmington Public Schools students will have their fourth straight weather-related day off Wednesday.
Students and staff came back from winter break on Jan. 2; schools have been closed since Jan. 3, due to heavy snow and record low temperatures. Spokesperson Diane Bauman said the extended closing will not impact the school calendar.
Walled Lake Consolidated Schools, which serves students in Farmington Hills, has also notified parents the district will be closed on Wednesday. The district's Financial Aid Night at Walled Lake Northern High School, scheduled Jan. 8 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for high school students and parents, will go on as planned.
