Farmington School Officials Meet with Community Relations Committee Tonight

The school board will also hold a closed session before their 7:30 p.m. study session.

Farmington School Board members have a number of budget items on their study session agenda tonight, but they'll meet first at 5:30 p.m. in a closed session, to discuss pending litigation over the sale of Eagle Elementary School.

The state's Open Meetings Act allows the closed meeting, as officials will be discussing the lawsuit, filed by Eugene Greenstein of Farmington Hills and Melvin C. Sternfeld of West Bloomfield, with their attorney.

At 6 p.m., officials will meet with the Community Relations Committee.

Officials will hear a proposal to establish an educational foundation that would help offset state funding cuts, review 2011-2012 budget adjustments and talk about development of the 2012-2013 budget. A PDF containing the full agenda, with supporting documents, is attached to this article.
