Farmington Schools Adjusts Start Times

Officials say the five-minute move is necessary to accommodate transportation schedules.

Next year, the school day for  K-4 elementary schools (except ) and middle schools will change by five minutes, the district announced late Monday.

The adjustment was made after officials found that upper elementary students often arrived to school just before the bell rang at Power and Warner.

and Middle Schools will begin five minutes earlier – starting at 7:25 a.m. instead of 7:30 a.m. and ending at 2:10 p.m., instead of 2:15 p.m.
