Farmington Schools Plans Bond Presentations, Conversations

In addition to bond presentations at Farmington libraries, the district will host community conversations at Panera Bread locations in Farmington and Farmington Hills.

Farmington Public Schools will host community presentations about the Nov. 5 bond proposal on Oct. 2 and Oct. 23, in Farmington Hills and Farmington.

Voters are being asked to approve two proposals: Proposal 1, $154.6 million to fund safety features, infrastructure repairs and improvements and increased technology; and Proposal 2, $31.6 million for improvements to high school auditoriums and athletic fields and technology replacement. Proposal 1 must pass in order for Proposal 2 to be implemented.

This Oct. 2 presentation will be held at the Farmington Community Library Main Library on 12 Mile Road in Farmington Hills, beginning at 7 p.m. The Oct. 23 presentation will be held at the Farmington branch library on Liberty Street, also at 7 p.m.

Additionally, two "Community Conversations", during which people can drop in and ask questions about the bond proposals, will be held Oct. 8 from 7:30 a.m.-10 a.m. at Panera Bread, 34635 Grand River in Farmington, and Oct. 16, 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Panera Bread, 37611 W. 12 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills.
