Farmington Schools Students Have Entertainment Options for Half-Day Oct. 25

Upper elementary students can sign up for a field trip to Wiard's Apple Orchard, and Farmington Civic Theater offers special matinees.

Farmington School elementary and upper elementary students who are looking forward to a half-day on Oct. 25 have some options if they're looking for entertainment. 

The City of Farmington Hills After School Youth Program offers a field trip for 5th and 6th graders on Thursday afternoon. Upper elementary students can sign up for a trip to Wiard's Apple Orchard in Ypsilanti. The Costick Center will be the only location open for 7th and 8th graders that day. 

The Farmington Civic Theater will open early Thursday, with showings of Disney's The Odd Life of Timothy Green (PG) at 12:40 p.m., 2:45 p.m. and 4:50 p.m., and ParaNorman (PG) at 12:50 p.m., 2:40 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The city-owned theater will also be open early Oct. 29 which is a half day for all Farmington-area students. More information is available at www.theFCT.com or by calling 248-474-1951.
