Farmington Schools to Interview 10 Seeking to Fill School Board Vacancy

Interviews will occur Wednesday and Thursday, March 5-6, with the final selection scheduled for March 10.

Farmington Public Schools officials will interview 10 candidates for an open seat on the Board of Education next week, then return March 10 to make a final selection. The vacancy was created with the resignation of Priscilla Brouillette.

All interviews are open to the public and will be cablecast live on TV-10.

Eleven individuals applied for the position, but one has since withdrawn from consideration.

Wednesday, March 5

  • Jan Jeffrey Rubinstein – 7:25 p.m.
  • Maria Stanfield  7:50 p.m.
  • Mike Kadri – 8:15 p.m.

Thursday, March 6

  • Terry Johnson – 7 p.m.
  • Nicholas Bonsky – 7:25 p.m.
  • Satya Vadlamuri – 7:50 p.m.
  • Trisha Balazovic – 8:15 p.m.
  • Erica Reaves – 8:40 p.m.

The newly-appointed trustee will be sworn in and begin board service at the Tuesday, March 18 Board of Education meeting. The appointment is effective through Dec. 31, 2014. The seat will then be filled at the regular school board election in November 2014.
