Farmington Teachers Seek Funds for Special Classroom Projects
Their requests are listed on the DonorsChoose.org website.
Teachers at Alameda Early Childhood Center and East Middle School have reached out to the public through a national website for financial help with special classroom projects.
At DonorsChoose.org, Alameda teacher Danya Stump and East teacher Jessica Jones have both received donations for their requests of more than $300. Donors can select from hundreds of classroom projects listed by teachers from across the country, contributing as little as $1 to the cause.
Stump would like to purchase rhythm instruments to help her students with special needs "regulate body awareness and to help with sensory processing." Read more about her project here.
