Four Farmington Schools Close Monday Due to Power Outages

Farmington High, Lanigan and Wood Creek Elementary Schools and Alameda Early Childhood Center are all without power.

High winds that knocked out power to thousands in Farmington and Farmington Hills Sunday evening closed four Farmington Public Schools buildings Monday.

Students at Farmington High School, Wood Creek and Lanigan Elementary schools and Alameda Early Childhood Center all have the day off. 

More than 392,000 DTE customers across metro Detroit, including 4,600 in Farmington and Farmington Hills, lost power Sunday night in the wake of high winds and a strong storm that blew through southeast Michigan

DTE encourages customers to report downed power lines and power outages through its mobile website, or online at dteenergy.com, or by using the DTE Energy Outage Center app on their iPhone or Android phone, or by calling 800-477-4747.
