Two Farmington Schools Remain Without Power

Lanigan and Wood Creek Elementary Schools will be closed for a second day, and in downtown Farmington, businesses will reopen Tuesday.

Students at  Wood Creek and Lanigan Elementary schools have another day off, as their buildings remain without power after a storm and high winds Sunday and Monday.

Farmington High and Alameda Early Childhood Center, which were without power on Monday, are back on line, and classes will resume Tuesday.

Downtown Farmington businesses reported Monday night that power had been restored, and they will be open for business as usual on Tuesday. According to the DTE Energy website, power had been restored Monday night to 132,000 customers, with about 170,000 still offline.
