Hackbots Earn Trip to World Robotics Championship, Help Them Get There

Wear purple on April 23 and donate to help the team travel to St. Louis for the robotics championship event.

With a quarter finals finish in Saturday's Michigan championships, the Farmington Public Schools Hackbots robotics team qualified to attend the FIRST Robotics World Championship tournament, held April 24-28 in St. Louis.

The team, which also won the state championship spirit award, needs help to raise more than $12,000 in trip costs. Lawn signs may be obtained for a minimum $15 donation at the Farmington High School or North Farmington High School main offices, and cash donations are being accepted.

You can also show support by wearing purple on "Hackbot Purple Power Day", April 23. For more information, or to contribute, contact Heidi Skodack, heidi.skodack@farmington.k12.mi.us.
