Half-Day Monday for Farmington Public Schools

High school students can sign up for free CPR training; Farmington Civic Theater offers early movie times.

Farmington Public Schools students have a half-day Monday, which is set aside for teachers' professional development.

Here are a couple of ways kids can spent their time off:

  • The Farmington Civic Theater will open early Monday, with the first movie, The Bourne Legacy (PG-13) starring Jeremy Renner, Edward Norton and Rachel Weisz, starting at 1 p.m.  Other early movies are Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (PG) and Ice Age: Continental Drift (PG). Show times are available at www.theFCT.com or 248-474-1951.
  • High school students can still register through Friday for a Monday afternoon CPR training class at Farmington High School. The training takes four hours. Register on-line at http://cpr09242012fhs.eventbrite.com. As of Thursday evening, there were 13 spots left in the class. Others will be offered during the school year.
