Harrison Football Players Read Scary Stories to Elementary Students

Continuing a tradition started several years ago, members of the Harrison High School Hawks varsity football team on Oct. 30 and 31 visited two Farmington area elementary schools in honor of Halloween.

One group of players read Halloween stories to four classes of excited Lanigan Elementary third and fourth grade students. The younger students also asked questions about the books and the team, then shared their plans for trick-or-treating. Another group visited Wood Creek Elementary, where they read more spooky stories to costumed students.

Later this month, the Hawks will be at Beechview Elementary, where they will be reading Thanksgiving-themed stories.
