Seahawks Wish Granted for Farmington Hills 12-Year-Old

Make-A-Wish Foundation sent Kevin Lee and his family to Seattle, WA this summer.

Kevin Lee, a Farmington Hills resident and Walled Lake Schools seventh-grader, took a dream trip with his family to Seattle, WA this summer, thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The Geisler Middle School student has had four open-heart surgeries, due to a congenital heart condition. His mother contacted Make-A-Wish Foundation and learned that his life-threatening condition made Kevin eligible to submit his wish: to play football with Russell Wilson, quarterback with the Seattle Seahawks.

“Make-a-Wish, the Seattle Seahawks and even the personnel at our hotel far exceeded any expectations we may have had," said Kevin's mother, Dawn Lee. "They told Kevin, when he was thinking of his wish, to really reach for the stars and he did. They gave him what he asked for and more than he could have ever conceived. We are truly grateful for this once in a lifetime experience!”

Kevin's story aired on ESPN throughout the past weekend and can be viewed online at espn.com or at Seahawks.com
