Senior Adults Invited to Farmington Schools Breakfast

Officials will announce the Senior Adult Extraordinaire award winner and discuss the Nov. 5 bond referendum.

Farmington Public Schools will host its 18th annual Senior Adult Breakfast Sept. 30, to share information about district activities with adults 50 and older. 

Held at the Costick Center at 9 a.m., the breakfast will give attendees the opportunity to speak with District representatives. This year’s round table discussions will focus on the two bond proposals on the Nov. 5 ballot.

The breakfast program also includes student curriculum exhibits and performances by student musicians. Officials will also announce the 2013 Senior Adult Extraordinaire award winner. The award recognizes, promotes, and encourages the volunteer efforts of senior citizens in Farmington Public Schools.

Past award winners include Toula Mehas, Demetra Mehas and the late Tina Mehas, the late Leona Goetz, Lincoln Avery, Virginia Starr, Allen Whittemore, Diane DeSousa, Michael Liebowitz, and Nancy Leflar.
