Teams Battle to Benefit Farmington Area Goodfellows, Neighborhood House

Farmington Schools staff raise money for local families in need on Dec. 14.

The North versus South rivalry continues Dec. 14, as Farmington Public Schools teams duke it out on the basketball court to benefit local charities in the 8th Annual Battle of the Middles.

Staff of Warner Upper Elementary School and Dunckel Middle School will take on staff from Power Upper Elementary School and East Middle School for this annual event.

The game starts at 6:30 p.m. and doors open at 5:45 p.m. at Farmington High School, 32000 Shiawassee in Farmington. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students, $1 with two canned goods, or free with the donation of a new unwrapped toy. All proceeds and gifts will benefit the Farmington/Farmington Hills Neighborhood House and the Farmington Area Goodfellows.

The Battle of the Middles has helped raise more than $20,000 in the last seven years, along with collecting countless canned goods and toys.
