Opponents of privatization have announced on the "Stop Privatization in Farmington Public Schools" Facebook page that they will rally before the meeting, starting at 6:30 p.m.

In Farmington Hills, on the other hand, city officials have a very short agenda for their Monday meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m. at . They will take up a number of proclamations and consider participating in the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments Sustainable Community Recognition Program.

The docents at the mansion are setting up lawn games including croquet, badminton and horseshoes, a barbershop quartet will sing, and board games will be available on the porch. A light dinner of hot dogs, chips, a drink and dessert will be served. Even the price is family-friendly: Ticket prices are $5 per person for ages 8 and older. Children younger than 8 are free.
