Ilda's Salon Closes Shop, Reopens in Downtown Farmington Spa
Ilda Shaoni now serves clients at the Merle Norman Spa in the Downtown Farmington Business Center.
Last week, Ilda Shaoni closed the door of her small salon in the northeast corner of Grand River and Farmington Road in downtown Farmington, and opened up shop about a block away.
Ilda's Salon Chic, which opened in April of 2010, was located adjacent to the Korner Barbers, with an entrance not easily visible from the street. Shaoni now works in the recently expanded Merle Norman Spa in the Downtown Farmington Center.
Merle Norman owner Karen Gara said Shaoni and another hair dresser approached her about sharing the space, which Gara remodeled after the tenant next to her original shop moved out. The salon and spa offers a full range of services, from manicures to massage.
