The Falcons winning streak came to a grinding halt Wednesday, with a 3-1 loss to Rochester Stoney Creek. The Falcons gave up two goals in the first period and tried to fight back with one in the second frame, when defenseman Austin Meltzer slapped the puck home from the blue line with assists from Nick Kozoro and Roman Firestone on a power play. The score stayed that way until late in the third period, when Stoney Creek scored on the empty net. The Falcons maintain their first place status in the OAA Red division with a 1-1-4 record, and 6 points. The Falcons are finally back at home for their game against a tough Rochester United team at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 12. Come and cheer on the Falcons, it's also FHHA (Farmington Hills Hockey Association) night with the Mini Mites skating in between periods!
