Farmington Hills Figure Skating Club Offers Synchronized Skating Clinic

The Farmington Hills Figure Skating Club will offer a synchronized skating clinic and tryout for its 2011-2012 season.

Skaters of all levels are invited to be a part of this exciting new era for Farmington Hills as the program moves to the next level under the direction of world-class coach Erin Bridge.

As the synchronized skating coach for Michigan State University since 2006, Bridge coached the team to five U.S. National Medals. Bridge is a four-time World Synchronized Skating Championship medalist, a four-time Canadian Senior Synchronized National Champion and was the on-ice Captain of World Medalist Team (Black Ice) in 2001.

Bridge's professional credentials include passing USFSA Gold Freestyle, Gold Moves in the Field and Pre-Gold Dance.

The 45-minute clinic will be held Wednesday, June 22 at the . Cost is $15. Basic skills levels through skaters who have passed Preliminary Moves test, 6 p.m.-6:45 p.m.; skaters who have passed Pre-Juvenile Moves test and higher: 6:45 p.m-7:30 p.m.

The 45-minute tryouts will be held Wednesday, June 29. Cost is $25. Basic skills levels through skaters who have passed Preliminary Moves test, 6 p.m.-6:45 p.m.; skaters who have passed Pre-Juvenile Moves test and higher, 6:45 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

The cost is $35 for both the clinic and tryout, when you sign up for them at the same time.

Pay at the door or leave your payment at the front desk of the ice arena clearly labeled "FHFSC Synchro Clinic/Tryout." Checks may be made payable to FHFSC. A liability waiver must be signed prior to taking the ice.
