Farmington Wrestling Club Takes Program to the Next Level

The program is teaming up with nationally recognized wrestling coach Mike Krause, founder of NXT LVL Wrestling Academy.

A wrestling club formed earlier this year for Farmington area kids ages 6 to 15 is taking its program to the next level.

Coach Todd Hoffmeyer said he is partnering with Mike Krause, a nationally recognized coach and founder of NXT LVL Wrestling Academy. The Farmington Wrestling Club has also changed its name to NXT LVL Wrestling Academy-Farmington Division.

"He's a phenomenal coach, he's a very intense coach," said Hoffmeyer, a high school and college wrestler who lives in Farmington.

He founded the club after not finding one in the area for his own son. Hoffmeyer is passionate about wrestling, which he said builds "character, confidence, responsibility, discipline" and other positive traits.

"We're taking kids and building little champions," he said.

There's no cost to bring kids to the first two practices, and the club has open enrollment. Practices are held in Farmington High School's wrestling room Fridays at 6 p.m. Learn more by contacting Hoffmeyer by email, toddhoffmeyer@gmail.com, or phone, 248-470-3485.
