Harrison Girls Basketball Loses Regional Game at the Buzzer

The Hawks lost in the regional finals Thursday to Dexter.

The Harrison High School girls varsity basketball team suffered a heartbreaking loss Thursday, losing to Dexter in the regional final game at the last second.

Dexter player Riley McDonald hit a 3-point shot at the buzzer to clinch the win in overtime with a score of 37-34.

Harrison ends their season with the district title, which they won by beating Walled Lake Western on March 1.

Dexter now heads to the Class A quarterfinals, where the Dreadnaughts will take on Saginaw Heritage.
