Alley Regalley Livens Up Downtown Farmington Founders Festival

Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch will team with the Greater Farmington Area Chamber to give away ticket packages for the venue.

A low-key entertainment venue that's become a fixture at the Downtown Farmington Founders Festival returns this year, with a few changes.

The Greater Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce is operating the tent this year, with Chamber member Ginger's Cafe serving a menu that is still being assembled. Chamber director Mary Engelman said School of Rock Farmington will be jamming all day Saturday, and the mic will be open Friday for local performers.

"We just think it's going to be a good time," she said.

Scheduled entertainment from 5 p.m.-midnight during the Festival includes:

Thursday Meri Slaven Quintet and Elvis and the Temptations
Friday Metro Jazz Voices and Detroit Deville
Saturday Twistin' Tarantulas and The Incredibles

Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch will partner with the Chamber to give away two packages with admission, food and beverage tickets for four, each valued at $60. Details will be published the week of July 8.

Admission is $5 per person, with premium wine and beer and food tickets priced at $5 each. The tent will be located in the Village Mall parking lot, on the east side of Farmington Road just south of Grand River. Learn more at foundersfestival.com or call the Chamber, 248-919-6917.
