Doc Shares Health Advice During Walk in Farmington Hills

Botsford Hospital family practice doctor Katie Hannon shared advice about healthy habits with more than 50 area residents Thursday during Walk with a Doc in Heritage Park.

Hannon spoke for about 30 minutes, answering questions about health risks and screenings as well. A few who attended offered a little advice of their own, captured on the video with this article.

Special guest Dr. Don from WYCD-FM radio emceed the event.

"I'm a poster child for just about everything she said in the last half hour," he said. "But at least the blood pressure's down."

After Hannon's presentation, attendees walked in two groups along trails in Heritage Park, where naturalist Carol Fink said they would see plenty of wildlife.

"That's one of the joys of life is getting out in nature," she said.

The next walk is scheduled July 18. To learn more, visit botsford.org.
