Farmington Area Summer Concert Season in Full Swing

You can take in a free concert three days a week in Farmington and Farmington Hills.

Farmington area residents can take in as many as three free concerts each week through August, at Nardin Park United Methodist Church "Wednesdays at 8", Heritage Park's "Stars in the Park" on Thursdays and downtown Farmington's Rhythmz in Riley Park on Fridays. 

Playing this week:

Nardin Park: The Birmingham Community Concert Band, a 60-piece ensemble, performs under the direction of Grant Hoemke (8 p.m. Wednesday) nardinpark.org

Heritage Park: The Groove Council, a nine-piece, horn-driven band that is based in the old-school Detroit soul sound (7 p.m. Thursday) fhgov.com

Riley Park: The Luddites, a unique, 11-piece ensemble that considers itself the loudest acoustic band in the world, playing "a bit peasant and a bit punk".  (7 p.m. Friday) downtownfarmington.org
