Farmington Hills Family Cruises on Woodward

Since they dated in high school, Matt and Amy Sasina have attended the annual Woodward Dream Cruise.

Matt and Amy Sasina have attended the Woodward Dream Cruise since the very beginning of their 20-year relationship.

The couple met in junior high and started dating in high school. They've been married 10 years, and the annual classic car cruise has always been part of their lives. This weekend, they're riding in Matt's 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass S.

"It's fun," Amy said. "I'm glad he finally got one."

The muscle car safely accommodates car seats for the Sasinas' children Brody, who turns 6 next week, and 3-year-old Megan. Matt, who works as an automotive engineer, said he has always liked cars.

"I grew up driving Oldsmobiles," he said, "so this brings that back."

The Sasinas usually attend the Cruise on Friday or Saturday night. This year, Matt said, he took Thursday and Friday off to spend time with Amy and the children.

"We usually park around 15 Mile in Birmingham, and walk around," he said. "If you have the time, come during the day. It's easier to get around."
