How do I find garage sales in Farmington/Farmington Hills?
Jessica Nunez June 06, 2013 at 09:48 PM
Hi Jan, there were no sales submitted this week in Farmington or Farmington Hills, but keep checking this story -- it will be updated each with submissions from our readers.

That's funny i posted my garage sale this week. Thanks anyway.

Hi defillipim, I do see your sale listed in the submission form, but it says it was held on Wednesday. Our map automatically deletes the sales that have already passed. If your sale is happening this weekend, let me know and I can change the date. Thanks for submitting!

Don't know how you guys are posting our garage sales, but I couldn't find mine either until I stumbled on it on the last day of the sale. They should be posted in Events on the front page of Patch like they used to be. No one can find them now. And if they have to stumble around to find the garage sales, no one will come!!

Love the Patch! Great way to keep informed about our beautiful cities and all that is going on. With this new interactive map of garage sales, there is not a way to post both the beginning date and ending date of the sale. Also, when clicking on the specific sale, there is no way to get to the "details".

Yes, someone on the Patch Staff that knows something about garage sales should find a better way to post them and to find them.

Hi Sharon, thanks for the feedback. Yes, there is a flaw in the system that does not allow someone to post the date range in the date field -- only one date will be accepted. If you are submitting a sale, I would recommend putting the last day of your sale in the date field, so it will stay up throughout the duration of your sale, and then specify the complete range in the details section.

Also, to see the details of the sale, you need to click on the map pin, and then click on the "details" link. That will take you to a page with the complete information of the sale. Let me know if you are having trouble!

Why not go back to the way it was and everyone will be happy !! Just putting in the last date of the sale doesn't make sense either.

That explains why my garage sale is not listed.
