Play Ice Soccer at Farmington Hills Ice Arena in July

Players in this new sport wear broomball shoes to gain traction on the ice.

Register by July 6 to try out the latest sport offered by the City of Farmington Hills Department of Special Services: ice soccer.

Games will be played at the on Fridays, 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m., from July 13 to August 3. Four leagues will be formed for players ages 10 and under, 13 and under, 16 and under, and 17 and older.

Participants will wear broomball shoes to gain friction on the surface of the ice while running around the rink. Instead of a round, bouncy, air-filled ball, a specially designed nylon puck called a "Boot’r" will be kicked across the ice.
