Trash, Recycling Pick Up Dates Change for 4th of July
Trash will be collected on Monday and Tuesday, then delayed by one day for the rest of the week.
Trash and recycling will not be collected in Farmington and Farmington Hills on Wednesday, July 4, due to the Independence Day holiday.
All garbage, recycling, and yard waste will be picked up as usual on Monday and Tuesday next week. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday routes will be collected one day late (Thursday, Friday and Saturday).
To ensure pickup, garbage should be at the curb by 7 a.m.

Independence Day is one of six holidays during the year when garbage collection is not scheduled; the others are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
