Thankful to be in Farmington

Many things to be grateful for.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving I reflect on so many people and elements of our lives in Farmington, in Michigan and America for which I am grateful.  As Mayor, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as a member of Farmington's City Council with my fellow council members and city staff members and the many volunteers who are all very passionate about our city, our environment here and making Farmington the very best, the most engaging and safe city it can be.

I am also grateful to live in an incredible state which has great colleges, public schools, a diverse population which makes us worldly, people full of creativity and entreprenaurship who will lead our recovery, and of course great lakes and recreational opportunities all around us.

We live in a country with great freedoms and the ability to make our own choices and to freely express our opinions.  This is something for us all to be thankful for.

Today I will celebrate with family and friends, and I am particularly grateful for the support of my wife Karen, my sons, my parents, my brothers and sisters, neices and nephews and my many friends.

My hope is that you will have a wonderful Thanksgiving and a terrific beginning to the holiday season!
