Remembering 9/11

We remember today the victims of the horrendous act of terrorism on September 11, 2001, in New York, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania.   And we remember the heroic acts of firefighters, police and public safety personnel who sacrificed their lives and well being to help those victims.

That day we learned not to take our freedoms and our safety for granted.  We renewed our respect for those around us who take our safety so seriously every day.  Those acts of terrorism united us in ways we had collectively forgotten.

The memory of those events will be with most Americans for the rest of our lives.  We will never forget the heroic actions that day and for all the years following.  Our obligation is to share our gratitude, respect and support to those who serve in our public safety operations and our military the very best we can.  And our duty as Americans is to continue to make America the greatest country in the world.
