So You Think You Have the World's Toughest Job?

The pay for a director of operations position – #worldstoughestjob – is so low it doesn't exist, and the successful candidate will get no breaks. But the hours are long.

Would you work 24/7 with no breaks, take lunch only when your associates have finished eating, and spend unlimited hours on your feet, bending over and exerting yourself?

You’ll need excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, degrees in medicine, finance and culinary arts. It'll help if you're able to work in a chaotic atmosphere.

Oh, and if you have a life, you’ll be asked to give that up for a job that pays nothing, but – we're desperately needing a positive here – it delivers immeasurable joy.

Does that sound cruel, intense, sick and twisted? Do you wonder if it’s even legal?

Welcome to motherhood.

That’s the message in a video created by a Michigan native now working for a Boston advertising agency that's received nearly 17.8 million views, oodles of praise and some criticism.

Andrea Mileskiewicz, a Grand Rapids, MI native who is now an associate at the Mullen Agency in Boston, is the brains behind the ”World’s Toughest Job” video created for the American Greetings Card Company, MLive reports.

In it, job applicants think they are being interviewed over video-cam for a director of operations position.

Once the jig is up, they offer some heartfelt tributes to their moms.

The true inspiration behind the video is Mileskiewicz’s sister-in-law, Jeana Mileskiewicz of Cascade, MI who she visited over the Christmas holiday.

“She was working around the clock,” the video’s creator said in a phone interview with MLive. “You always hear that expression that (motherhood) is the most difficult job, and seeing it put into practice spurred the idea."
