Award Winning Beatles Tribute Benefits JARC in Farmington Hills

See 'Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles' at the Fox and support an organization that helps people with developmental disabilities.

A Farmington Hills nonprofit's big annual fundraiser this year features the award-winning musical revue Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles.

The event, held Oct. 18, 7:30 p.m., at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, benefits , including Huntington Woods. JARC’s Harris Children and Family Division provides support services for 450 families who have a child with any disability living at home.

“This is our largest fundraiser of the year and we hope to have every seat filled at the Fox Theatre that night,” said JARC chief executive officer Rick Loewenstein. “The funds we raise will help us continue our ongoing efforts to enrich the lives and erase barriers for the people we serve. A brand new JARC video produced and underwritten by Evolution Media will also be premiered that evening.”

Together longer than The Beatles, Rain has mastered every song, gesture and nuance of the legendary foursome, delivering a totally live, note-for-note performance in this multi-media concert. The acclaimed show won an Annual Drama Desk Award for excellence in New York theatre as 2011 Outstanding Musical Revue.

A young adult pre-glow, the Magical Mystery Lounge, (exclusively for ages 21 to 40) will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Fox Theatre. A strolling supper will be catered by Matt Prentice Restaurant Group. Admission is complimentary with purchase of a ticket.

Ticket prices for the show begin at $60. Sponsorship opportunities that include tickets are also available.
