Join Community Choice Credit Union in 'Give Big Weekend'

The Farmington Hills-based credit union seeks volunteers for a fundraising walk and other volunteer projects, and donations for Gleaners Food Bank.

In an effort to pay it forward to the communities that it serves, has announced that its fourth annual Give Big Weekend will take place on Sept. 15 and Sept. 16.

“Giving Big is all about uniting as one to support charitable causes,” said President and CEO Robert Bava. “When team members at Community Choice engage with our local communities, we know the sum of what we can achieve is far greater than what we can achieve as individuals. Whether it’s Give Big Weekend or the $100,000 that the credit union provides in scholarships every year, we are committed to improving our communities.”

The credit union, which is headquartered in Farmington Hills, invites members and people in surrounding communities to join the Community Choice Team for the Step Out Walk To Stop Diabetes, held Sept. 15 at the Detroit Zoo. The walk begins at 8:30 a.m., and is approximately two miles long.
