Local Bowlers Seek Sponsors for August Animal Rescue Fundraiser

The 7th Annual Bowl-4-Animal Rescue in Farmington Hills Aug. 11 benefits the Michigan Animal Adoption Network and the Friends For the Dearborn Animal Shelter.

Professional bowling champions Aleta Sill and Michelle Mullen, co-owners of , will host their 7th Annual Bowl-4-Animal Rescue at in Farmington Hills Aug. 11, to raise funds for the Michigan Animal Adoption Network (MAAN) and the Friends For the Dearborn Animal Shelter (FFDAS).

Sill and Mullen are looking for sponsors to support the event. Sill points out that everyone can help. 

"We have some really economical marketing opportunities in conjunction with this event, not to mention that sponsors will be making a difference for two local charities," Sill said.

Along with fundraising, Sill and Mullen have adopted eight animals themselves. "The homeless animal problem in metro Detroit has reached an epidemic level, and we want to do anything we can to alleviate the problem," said Mullen.

Tickets to Bowl-4-Animal Rescue are $30 in advance (or $35 at the door) and include three games, food and shoe rental. There will be auctions, raffles, door prizes, music, karaoke and a cash bar. Bowlers can even have one of the professional bowlers throw a strike for them.
